This 3rd times the charm, stained espresso table is a favorite…but in some cases nonetheless time for a adjust!

I imagined I’d revisit an outdated makeover that I just adore! A person of my favorites truly.
This coastal-fashion espresso desk makeover…

…that was how it started out.

Do you try to remember it?

I’m sharing it since I have determined to improve it out for an ottoman. (scroll down to see it)
I am prepared for a minor improve-up.

Stained Espresso Desk

But initially, let us have a minor refresh of this table.
I resolved to get rid of the finish from the leading and refinish it so I wouldn’t paint more than those people pretty inlays.

This was an previous bottle of Citristrip when it truly used to function seriously properly.
I never use it anymore. They changed the components and it just does not do the career the way it utilised to.

In any case, off arrived that end to expose that lovely wooden beneath.

I considered I preferred to stain it this color… (water-based mostly stain)

NOPE! I immediately wiped that back off.

Then I thought I’d whitewash it…

Nope! Ha! I didn’t like that possibly. Off arrived that as well.

I permit it dry overnight and made a decision to go with oil-based stain alternatively.
I applied a pre-stain initially, then Antique Walnut, wiping again well, then Classic Gray about that, also wiping back again.

And WOW, it arrived out the great shade!

I painted the base white with a little bit of distressing.

And this is how this beauty appears to be like now.

I could not have been extra pleased! I just like this table.

Gosh, now I come to feel like I really do not want to alter it or permit it go!! lol

In other information, I experienced a particular customer now! (Weds) Christy from Confessions of a Serial DIYer!! Woohoo!
